To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'svchost' = '<SYSTEM32>\Lsas.exe'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'svchost' = '<Full path to virus>'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Mirc.exe
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\Lsas.exe
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe /c C:\runner.bat
- <SYSTEM32>\net1.exe stop sharedaccess
- <SYSTEM32>\net.exe stop sharedaccess
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\Systemp.txt
- C:\runner.bat
- <SYSTEM32>\Lsas.exe
Deletes itself.
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'da####010.no-ip.org':2185
UDP:
- DNS ASK da####010.no-ip.org
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: ''
