- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Updater.exe' = '"%APPDATA%\Updater.exe" ..'
Creates or modifies the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Updater.exe
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Updater.exe
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
Modifies file system:
Creates the following files:
- %APPDATA%\Updater.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Updater.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- '66###s.ddns.net':666
UDP:
- DNS ASK 66###s.ddns.net
Miscellaneous:
Creates and executes the following:
- '%APPDATA%\Updater.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\schtasks.exe' /create /tn NYAN /tr "%APPDATA%\Updater.exe" /sc minute /mo 1
- '<SYSTEM32>\schtasks.exe' /create /tn NYAN /tr "<Full path to file>" /sc minute /mo 1
- '<SYSTEM32>\schtasks.exe' /Delete /tn NYAN /F
