Malicious functions:
To bypass firewall, removes or modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List] '%APPDATA%\csrss.exe ' = '%APPDATA%\csrss.exe :*:Enabled:Microsoft Corp'
Creates and executes the following:
- '%APPDATA%\csrss.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram csrss.exe csrss ENABLE
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %APPDATA%\csrss.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\Shortcut.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %APPDATA%\csrss.exe
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
