Detection of applications that provide remote access to Android devices and gather various sensitive data on the users. These applications enable the following:
read SMS and MMS messages, emails, and track message history in popular online messengers;
record phone calls and obtain call data;
track the device location;
access the contact list;
record audio using the built-in microphone;
control the browser history;
send photos taken by the victim to the server;
take photos at the command of cybercriminals.
These apps are not malicious per se, but they can be used to spy on users illegally.
